G2’s mid laner justifies the team situation

G2 Esports has news for the League of Legends bulletin. Following the year’s low play in the league in both the 2021 Spring and Summer Finals, G2 could not even qualify for the World Championship. The eight-time LEC champions are expected to make some tough decisions for this offseason to get back into the game. 

According to the team’s superstar mid-laner Caps, the situation is explained with the year’s roster changes from departing Perkz, the face of the franchise to welcoming former Fnatic AD carry icon, Rekkles. The 21-year-old reckoned that the team stability for slack and weak. G2 finished the season in second with a 12-6 record, losing to MAD Lions and Fnatic in the playoffs. Being far away from that crushing winners with four LEC trophies in a row spanning from 2019, the kings of Europe seem completely off shape. G2’s CEO Ocelote also triggered the repair measures after the disappointing series against Fnatic.
