JD Gaming signs ADC Hope

JD Gaming announced last night that Wang "Hope" Jie will be the team's starting ADC for the 2022 LPL Spring Split. Hope will step in to replace the void created by Lee "LokeN" Dong-departure wook's earlier this offseason. The 21-year-old bottom laner has spent almost four years with EDward Gaming, where he has spent the majority of his career. Hope was frequently in and out of the starting lineup during this time, albeit he largely played for EDG's development team, EDG Youth Team.

Hope and the team had just mediocre success as starters for EDward Gaming in 2020. Despite his team's early exit from the Spring Playoffs, he was a standout when returning to the organization's development division in the LDL. During the 2022 Spring Split, Hope will have another chance at the LPL main stage, this time with a different team.
