MAD Lions snuck into the Spring Split groups

The last team advancing to the group stage of the Spring Split was determined by the first tiebreaker game of the 2023 LEC season. After a fiercely contested match marred by several technical hiccups, team Heretics faced an upset by MAD Lions, who went on to claim eighth place in the regular season rankings. While the latter will have to wait two months until their next official League of Legends encounter on the EMEA stage after being ousted from the LEC Spring Split, the former will have another opportunity to win the championship. The victorious MAD Lions will play their next match in just two weeks, but Team Heretics will miss the following two months of action, the LEC Summer Split will host their following competitive game.
