The 2023 LEC Spring Split has delivered plenty of ups and downs for the European League of Legends fan base with just three weeks left in the regular season. Popular teams like MAD Lions, who narrowly advanced to the next round after having to defeat Team Heretics in a tiebreaker match, had to fight tooth and nail to earn their positions in the group round. According to competitive League analytics aggregator Oracle's Elixir, MAD finished the season with a dismal 0.66 KDA across 10 games, which is less than Team Heretics and just over Excel Esports in last place.
The previous LEC winners also had a staggering 184 team fatalities and the third-highest average combined kills per minute, demonstrating that even if they are eager to fight to the last end, their numerous clashes aren't yielding many victories.
