Rogue is through to the group stage after VCS drops out

Riot confirmed that VCS would not attend the Worlds Championship due to Covid-19 hence Rogue gets a free pass in the play-in stage. The European team is through to the next round without even playing a single game. Worlds is being held in Iceland this year and the strict travel restrictions that are in place forced the hands of the Vietnam Championship Series to drop out of Worlds for the third year straight.

VCS had canceled the 2021 Summer Split entirely in August still Riot Games had worked out the possibility of having the best teams of Spring Spilt in Worlds, GAM Esports, and Saigon Buffalo. Rogue now gets more time to prep for the Worlds, which will kick off from 5th October.
