The LEC co-stream was promised at the time of its introduction for the brief duration of the Winter Split, which was over less than two weeks ago. According to LEC commissioner Artem Bykov, the trialling has been expanded to now cover the Spring Split. Bykov told Dot Esports, "We are pleased with how co-streaming went and we are looking forward to continue the trial. For the LEC, the Winter Split served as a "info collecting exercise" as they worked to comprehend the "wins" of co-streaming alongside the two teams. During several weeks of testing, the parties concerned would then use the knowledge gained to create a "more coherent framework" for managing the co-streams.
While it's currently unclear whether the initiative will include the Summer Split, Bykov has stated that KOI and Heretics will both continue co-streaming the EMEA League of Legends tournament next split as well.
