Team Liquid’s Alphari and Santorin sends Cloud9 to Lower bracket

Three months after the great match-up of Team Liquid and Cloud 9 for the LCS Spring title, both the teams met once more in the first-round playoff matchup. But the results were not the same as last time as Cloud 9 failed to repeat their last win instead fell with a 3-0 sweep to Team Liquid who avenged their loss.

Both the teams kicked off the playoffs in style. The Liquid’s pair of Alphari and Santorin worked together to annihilate Cloud9’s topside in all the games to make it a one-sided affair. Liquid tapped into the unique synergy of both the player working as a unit to cripple Cloud9. Santorin was the real difference-maker in the four-game set as he stole the decisive Baron in the end and ended the day with a scoreline of 10/6/35 and a Kill Participation mark of 87 percent.
