The commencement of the first international League of Legends event of the year will take place in Busan, South Korea. As per rumors, the event was supposed to be called off amid a surge of COVID-19 cases in the country. But that’s not true, the MSI 2022 will take place in Busan’s 4,002-capacity Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) starting from May 10 to May 29 and will host a live audience.
Busan is the second-most popular city in the South and is considered to be the home of esports. Back in 2004-2010, StarCraft: Brood War ProLeague finals took place in the city. Moreover, G-Star, the largest gaming convention in the country, is held there every year. South Korea will be hosting an MSI for the first time marking the first international League event in the country since Worlds 2018. Some of the top qualifying teams include G2 Esports, PSG Talon, and T1 amongst the others.
