Things don't look good for Kwangdong Freecs

Kwangdong Freecs suffers from a small COVID-19 outbreak after Kiin, Ellim, and Hoit test positive for the virus and shifts the base to play the following LCK matches remotely. From the 2022 LCK Summer Split Riot Games had allowed the team to take part in the matches remotely from a quarantine facility but referees would not be allowed to enter the quarantine facilities but camera and sound checks would help in keeping the game clean.

Kwangdong Freecs is already running behind eighth as per the current standings, and with three of their players in quarantine it would affect their performance at a crucial time in the season, the team is set to face Fredit BRION and KT Rolster this week. The news comes as a blow after the team had just put an end to T1’s record-breaking streak.
