Wildcats' third international competition since 2021

Istanbul Wildcats won the TCL Summer Playoffs championship and thus secured the last available spot at the 2022 League of Legends World Championship. Istanbul Wildcats will enter the Worlds play-in stage right away, where they will compete against other minor area champions. Since the start of the international League in 2021, the Wildcats have represented the TCL at three of the last four games abroad. The only foreign competition the Wildcats have missed in the previous two seasons was the World Championship, which Galatasaray Esports attended last year.

Istanbul finished the group stage of the Mid-Season Invitational this season with a record of 1-5 and was eliminated from the competition. The team's overall record in international competitions is 2-10. On September 29, the Worlds play-in stage will start, and the Istanbul Wildcats will return to the world scene.
