Worlds 2022 updates: Is LPL still strong as before?

Royal Never Give Up must go through the play-in stage whereas JD Gaming, Top Esports, and the reigning global champions EDward Gaming have been sent directly into the group stage. Having defeated DWG KIA in the championship match, EDG brought the Chinese region back to the top of the global rankings in 2021. EDG stumbled their way to their first World title despite being the only LPL team still standing among the top four.

The largest League event of the year is approaching, leaving fans to wonder how powerful the LPL teams are this year and what is expected of them. The four LPL teams have all demonstrated such a high level of play that they might all contend for the championship.
