ADO Den Haag have parted ways with manager Robin Peter after a difficult return to the Dutch top flight, despite his success in securing promotion last season.
The 39-year-old joined the club in summer 2025 and led them to the Keuken Kampioen Divisie title with 89 points, ending their five-year absence from the Eredivisie.
However, ADO have struggled since their promotion, recording just one victory in their opening 11 league matches, including a surprise success against champions PSV. Sunday's 1-0 defeat to PEC Zwolle proved decisive.
Technical director Mark Wotte praised Peter's contribution, highlighting the historic achievement of winning the title and returning to the top division. Nevertheless, he explained that six points from 11 games were insufficient, with survival the club's priority.
ADO also suffered an early Dutch Cup exit against amateur side Excelsior '31.
