Barcelona's 3-0 victory against Atletico Madrid

Joao Felix returned to haunt his parent team, scoring Barcelona's first goal and leading the team to a 3-0 victory against Atletico Madrid. Although it was only the Portuguese forward's fifth start of the season—he was on loan at Barcelona—he made the most of his opportunity in the 39th minute. Barcelona was sent off for insulting the referees, but the team had been sluggish to start before finding its rhythm.

Robert Lewandowski extended Barcelona's advantage two minutes into the second half with a superb finish from a close range. The seasoned Polish attacker then transformed into a facilitator, sending Fermin Lopez the ideal cross to seal the victory. Atletico's home league record of being undefeated was shattered in the last minutes when Nahuel Molina was given red for bringing down Vitor Roque. Atletico is one point out of the top four Champions League spots, while Barcelona is still eight points behind leaders Real Madrid.
