Liverpool's 3-1 win over Sheffield United

Liverpool's 3-1 victory on Thursday night restored their two-point lead atop the Premier League standings, but it took a second-half comeback to defeat a determined Sheffield United. Midfielder Alexis Mac Allister put the roof off Anfield with a rocket of a strike from the edge of the box that pinged into the top corner as the time ticked down to 76 minutes, leveling the scores. Additionally, Cody Gakpo's late header sealed the victory, moving Liverpool two points ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League.

Darwin Nunez scored the first goal oddly by charging down Ivo Grbic's careless clearing, and Jurgen Klopp's team appeared to be winning right away. However, Sheffield United put in a lot of effort to stay in the game, and they were rewarded with a point in the second half when Gustavo Hamer's header deflected in off Connor Bradley.
