There are reports speculating regarding Newcastle United’s transfer window for the summer. As the attempts to re-sign Arsenal’s loanee Joe Willock continue, Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley seems to fit the replacement criteria. The 21-year-old is a record holder of being the youngest player to score in seven consecutive matches catering to his eight goals in 14 appearances for the team.
Amidst Thomas Tuchel’s plans to retain Barkley, Newcastle may have a tough time acquiring the 27-year-old. Hamza Choudhury is also on Magpies’ radar given the player’s disappointment due to decreased game time at the King Power Stadium since Boubakary Soumare’s signing. A loan move would come as a fresh start for the 23-year-old and Newcastle could use the player’s Europa League experience to strengthen its midfield.
