Manchester City defeated Young Boys 3-1

The defending champions Manchester City defeated Young Boys 3-1 in Switzerland to maintain their unbeaten record in the UEFA Champions League. Erling Haaland's brace gave Pep Guardiola's team their third straight Group G victory. Prior to Meschak Elia's stunning goal restoring parity, Manuel Akanji scored first. After Haaland doubled, City was guaranteed the points. After an almost unbelievable five-game Champions League drought, Erling Haaland scored twice as Manchester City won three straight games 3-1. Young Boys were City's game opponents, but as they near the round of 16, they appear to be champions in every way.

Both teams had a strong start but missed opportunities in the exciting first half. Although City had the best of the play, Sandro Lauper's clumsy move when close to goal seemed to be a turning point in the game.
