In the face of Newcastle's interest, Mikel Arteta has confidently stated that Aaron Ramsdale playing for Arsenal next season is a "big reality." Since David Raya joined the Gunners on loan from Brentford last summer, Ramsdale has not been the team's starting goalkeeper. Many have speculated that Ramsdale may go as a result of Raya's move, which is anticipated to be permanent in the summer for £27 million.
The England goalkeeper was being followed by Wolves during the January transfer window, but most recently, he was linked to a move to Newcastle. When asked if Newcastle was considering Ramsdale, Arteta responded, "I'm not going to comment on those things." Ramsdale and Arsenal agreed to a new deal in May of last year, which is valid until the summer of 2026 with a one-year option to extend.
