Napoli 1-1 draw with Genoa

Napoli, who lost 1-0 at AC Milan the previous weekend and haven't played as well as they did during the championship season, have already lost four of their six league games since the year's beginning. With a game remaining, Walter Mazzarri's team has gone up to 36 points, temporarily placing them ninth in the rankings. Even though Napoli had the most of the possession, Genoa was more focused throughout, and their attacker Mateo Retegui had two opportunities to put his team ahead in the first half, but Alex Meret of Napoli had to stop him both times.

In the 47th minute, midfielder Morten Frendrup gave the visitors the lead by striking into the upper right corner of the goal from the edge of the box, giving Meret no chance.
