Real Sociedad agree personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur star Sergio Reguilon

The Spanish fullback moved from Real Madrid to north London in 2020, but despite early promise, he was unable to establish himself as a dependable first-XI player at N17. Reguilon has played 67 times in all competitions over his three years in north London, contributing nine assists in addition to his two goals. The 26-year-old played on loan with Atletico Madrid for the 2022–23 season, but he was unable to persuade Digo Simeone to extend the agreement. Despite being back at Tottenham, he doesn't seem to be on Ange Postecoglou's radar. The greatest option for the Spaniard given his precarious position at the club would be to take on a fresh challenge.

The Spanish were interested in signing Kieran Tierney from Arsenal, but since Jurrien Timber suffered an injury, it appears that the Gunners will keep the Scottish full-back. This may cause Sociedad to focus on Reguilon.
