Record bid puts Hadj Moussa’s Feyenoord keen on leaving

Anis Hadj Moussa’s future at Feyenoord is suddenly uncertain after Al Ittihad submitted an improved bid that could break the Dutch club’s transfer record. The Saudi side initially offered €30 million for the Algerian winger, an amount Feyenoord rejected. Multiple reports now claim the new proposal could reach €37.5 million, surpassing the €32 million received for Mats Wieffer in 2024.

Technical director Devy Rigaux insists the club want to keep their star, stressing that the incoming market is closed and that he intends to retain Hadj Moussa. However, ESPN reports the player and his agent favour the move which would already reached a deal, pointing to previous verbal understandings with Feyenoord’s board.

The situation is complicated by Feyenoord’s financial needs and the fact that Hadj Moussa is registered for the Champions League, limiting replacement options. The 24‑year‑old, under contract until 2030, has become Feyenoord’s standout performer with 17 league goal contributions last season.
