Sassuolo completed an incredible comeback to score a stunning 2-1 victory, ending Inter Milan's perfect start to the Serie A season. Denzel Dumfries' goal shortly before halftime gave Inter, who had won their previous five games in a row, the impression that they were in charge. Nedim Bajrami's well-placed goal for Sassuolo in the 54th minute, though, ensured that they would not be outdone. Domenico Berardi followed it with a powerful long-range strike to secure the victory for the visitors.
Despite the loss, Inter Milan is still in first place in Serie A, tied with AC Milan after the latter's 3-1 victory against Cagliari. Angolan winger Zito Luvumbo gave Cagliari the lead in the 29th minute, shocking Milan early on. However, Milan came back with goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fikayo Tomori, and Noah Okafor. Napoli, on the other hand, showed glimmers of their previous campaign's brilliance as they easily overcame Udinese 4-1 at home.
