Thuram sidelined for four months after knee surgery

Juventus have confirmed that Khephren Thuram has undergone surgery on his right knee, with Italian media reporting the midfielder will be out until early next year. The 25‑year‑old has not featured since the end of last season due to degeneration of the cartilage in his kneecap, an issue that ultimately required surgical intervention.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Italia, Thuram — younger brother of Inter winger Marcus and son of former France defender Lilian — is expected to miss at least four months. The Frenchman has scored six goals in 70 Serie A appearances since joining Juventus from Nice two seasons ago.

His absence is a significant setback for a side aiming to rebound after finishing sixth last term and missing out on Champions League qualification, despite opening the new campaign with two straight league wins.
