Killian Hayes, a guard with the Detroit Pistons, was given the highest punishment and was suspended for three games. Moritz Wagner, a centre with the Orlando Magic, was given a two-game suspension, while Pistons guard Hamidou Diallo was given a one-game ban. During their suspensions, all players will also forfeit their game checks. Former Pistons guard Joe Dumars, who is presently the NBA's executive vice president and head of basketball operations, made the announcement on the suspensions.
For leaving their bench area during the altercation, eight Orlando Magic players—guards Cole Anthony, R.J. Hampton, Gary Harris, and Kevon Harris; forwards Admiral Schofield and Franz Wagner; and centres Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter, Jr.—were given one-game suspensions without pay. Moritz Wagner made a dirty play by knocking Hayes into his team's bench while chasing down a loose ball, which led to the brawl that occurred in the second quarter of the Pistons' 121-101 victory.
