With veteran departures reducing the depth chart and Jayson Tatum out for the season, the Boston Celtics are making roster changes. The front staff has been leaning toward cost control during the summer, focusing on younger athletes. Kendall Brown, a former forward for the Indiana Pacers, is the newest acquisition. With his athletic finishing and encouraging G League stats, the 21-year-old enters camp with the potential to challenge for one of Boston's two-way spots.
The Minnesota Timberwolves selected Brown with the 48th overall selection in 2022, marking his NBA debut. After his rights were transferred to Indiana, he signed a two-year deal there. He earned a late conversion to a standard deal in 2023–24, but was waived ahead of last season. Although he never played a game, he signed a two-way contract with Brooklyn for a brief period of time. His NBA total stands at 21 appearances.
