Cam Thomas Accepts $6M Qualifying Offer, Set for Free Agency in 2026
After failing to agree on an extension for the fifth-year guard, Cam Thomas, a restricted free agent, and the Brooklyn Nets have reached an agreement. Thomas will be a free agent in the upcoming season after accepting the $6 million qualifying offer from the Nets.
Thomas is able to test the market next off-season as an unrestricted free agent according to this deal, which also includes a no-trade clause. Throughout his four seasons in Brooklyn Thomas has averaged 15.1 points per game and while shooting 44 percent from the field and with a 55 percent true-shooting percentage. His explosive scoring ability and elite self-creation skills have been made apparent throughout his career thus far. Due to injury, Thomas was only able to play in 25 games last season, which likely negatively impacted his value in the eyes of the Nets.
