Celtics beat the Knicks 127-102

With their season on the line and star Jayson Tatum sidelined due to a season-ending Achilles injury, the Boston Celtics rose to the occasion. Coach Joe Mazzulla urged his team to give everything, and they responded with a dominant 127-102 win over the New York Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Derrick White led the charge with 34 points and seven 3-pointers, while Jaylen Brown added 26 points and 12 assists.

The Celtics drained 22 threes to secure their first home win of the series. Payton Pritchard chipped in 17 points and five triples, and Luke Kornet contributed across the board with 10 points, nine rebounds, and seven blocks. Kristaps Porzingis, still battling a viral illness, played just 12 minutes. The Knicks will have another chance to close the series on Friday in New York. Game 7, if needed, is Monday in Boston.
