Celtics-Wizards showdown: Tatum helps end the slump

The Boston Celtics snapped their two-game slump as they cruised past the Washington Wizards on Sunday, 116-87. Jayson Tatum drove the way with an amazing presentation for the C's. The All-Star dropped a season-high 51 points to calm the discussion about his shooting droop. Jaylen Brown added 18 points for Boston. Tatum's old buddy Bradley Beal had a group-high 19 points for the Wizards while Deni Avdija contributed 13.

Celtics make it back to the .500 on the season at 24-24 and are all set to meet Sacramento Kings back at TD Garden. Tatum made up for missing 20 successive 3-pointers over his last couple of games and profession high with nine 3s made on 14 attempts. The 23-year-old also went 18-for-28 from the field as he dropped around 50 points for the fifth time in his profession.
