Curry adjusts summer routine to stay sharp for year 18

Stephen Curry is reshaping his offseason with a calmer, more deliberate approach as he prepares for his eighteenth NBA season. After missing significant time in 2025/26 due to runner’s knee, the Warriors star told NBC Sports Bay Area that his knee “feels great,” and that this summer is built on rest, golf, and carefully measured training. Curry emphasised quality over quantity, noting that a four‑month break demands awareness: enough recovery to heal, but not so much distance from the court that returning becomes difficult. His goal is longevity through balance, listening to his body and avoiding unnecessary strain to arrive at training camp refreshed.

Curry is also energised by rookie Yaxel Lendeborg’s strong Summer League performances. He praised the newcomer’s confidence, composure, and competitiveness, calling him “a champion” and welcoming the burst of youthful energy he brings. For Curry, this summer is about equilibrium, continuity, and setting the tone for another elite campaign.
