The Mavericks won Game 6 of the series by a razor-thin margin of 117-116 to take a 4-2 lead. There was a lot of intensity in the series finale. Despite having a 48-64 deficit at the end of the first half, the Mavericks overcame it in the second half. Luka Doncic finished the game with a triple-double of 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 29 points. Derrick Jones Jr., who finished with 22 points, Kyrie Irving, and Dereck Lively, who recorded a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led Oklahoma City with 36 points, 3 rebounds, and 8 assists. But this did not stop the team from being eliminated. Since the NBA season of 2021–2022, the Mavericks have advanced to the Western Conference finals twice.
