Jazz beat the Warriors 131-128

An hour before tipoff in the Delta Centre, Steve Kerr called the players warming up off the floor, gathered his coaching staff, and shut down the locker room to the media. Minutes before ESPN's Shams Charania, he got the news: the Warriors were acquiring Heat star Jimmy Butler by moving Andrew Wiggins and a number of other players in a multi-team trade.

After fifteen minutes, individuals began to leave the changing area in small groups. Staff members, player development coaches, Steph Curry, and Brandin Podziemski. They appeared to be ghosts, with pale faces and tight lips. The Warriors didn't have enough, even after they had calmed down. Golden State (25–25) choked away an 11-point advantage in the final three minutes of play, starting and finishing slowly.  Despite a career-high 29 points from Brandin Podziemski and 32 from Steph Curry, the Warriors fell, 131-128, to the Jazz.
