The Denver Nuggets won, but at a cost. One of the Nuggets’ key players will be sidelined for a while. Nuggets' Jeff Green fractured his left hand and sprained a finger and will be re-examined in a month, according to the team. Green's hand was fractured in the fourth quarter of Friday's win over Portland, and he did not return to the game. He scored just two points and grabbed two rebounds in the win. Green, who is averaging 7.5 points and two assists for the Nuggets this season, is looking for his first NBA championship.
Green was selected fifth overall by the Boston Celtics but was traded to the Seattle SuperSonics as part of the Ray Allen deal. Green was one of the few players remaining from the 2007 NBA Draft class, in which Greg Oden and Kevin Durant were the top picks.
