The New York Knicks have signed free agent forward Tosan Evbuomwan to a one-year, non-guaranteed deal, per Hoopshype’s Michael Scotto. The 6’8” forward averaged 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists with the Nets last season, offering versatility on both ends. According to SNY’s Ian Begley, Evbuomwan is a strong candidate for one of New York’s two vacant two-way roster spots, with only Kevin McCullar Jr. currently occupying one.
A Princeton standout and First Team All-Ivy League selection in 2023, Evbuomwan went undrafted but was impressed with his work ethic. “He elevates others around him to be their best,” Princeton coach Mitch Henderson told NJ Advance Media. Alongside Evbuomwan, the Knicks will bring in Dennis Smith Jr. from Real Madrid, while also exploring interest in free agent center Thomas Bryant.
