Kyrie Irving has shared he wants to stay with Brooklyn Nets for the upcoming 2022-23 season. Last season was not fruitful for the player Irving just took part in 33 games in total for Nets as the vaccine issue kept him out of many games. Nets had to deal with his long-time absence and even with the star-studded roster lost to Boston Celtics in the first round of the postseason. Later Nets traded James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Irving this summer exercised his player option which will keep him with Nets or the team could trade him as well but no trade moves seem to be brewing. Now Irving’s demand for maximum contract extension has turned the relations sour but the Nets could use Irving with Kevin Durant's trade request also shaking things up.
