Memphis Grizzlies 126-124 victory over the Utah Jazz

In his comeback, Ja Morant led the Memphis Grizzlies to a 126-124 victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night with 22 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds. Following a 25-game league ban and a shoulder injury that ended his season, Morant played in just nine games the previous season. The Grizzlies had 27 points from Santi Aldama and 24 more from Desmond Bane.

Utah's Lauri Markkanen finished with 35 points and 9 rebounds. Off the bench, Jordan Clarkson contributed 17 points and seven assists. Walker Kessler finished with 14 rebounds and 16 points. Kessler's tip-in with 2:48 remaining in the fourth quarter helped the Jazz overcome a double-digit deficit and tie the score at 116. Aldama put the Grizzlies ahead for good with back-to-back buckets. For the majority of the four quarters, Memphis dominated the Jazz from the outside. The Grizzlies had 17 3-pointers, with 12 coming from Aldama, Bane, and Jay Huff combined.
