Sacramento Kings added some frontcourt depth to their roster

To Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Noel's reps verified the contract, stating that it is worth $3.1 million. Noel played for both the Brooklyn Nets and the Detroit Pistons during the 2022–23 season. He only saw little action with both clubs, making an overall 17 appearances while averaging 2.1 points and 2.7 rebounds. Despite Noel's struggles in recent seasons, the Kings may find value in him as they attempt to build on their 2022–23 season success. In contrast to their top two centres, Domantas Sabonis and Alex Len, he will give them rim protection and exceptional defence at the centre position.

Noel was truly a subject of the Kings' long-term attention. According to reports, they were on the verge of dealing for him while he was playing for the Pistons and explored signing him when he became a free agency in 2021.
