Timberwolves’ D'Angelo Russell scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists to help the team push for a big win past Los Angeles Clippers with 128-100 on Monday night. Russell shot 7-for-11 from the field and 3-for-4 from three-point range to maintain Wolves' clean 3-0 record in the preseason. Timberwolves ended up shooting 51.6% from the field and made 14 three-pointers.
The game-turning quarter was second when they went for 40 points to lead with 67-57 lead heading into halftime. The Wolves’ Anthony Edwards finished with 17 points same as Karl-Anthony Towns to help the team to the win. Clippers were without their big players for the night, Paul George and Reggie Jackson, and Marcus Morris Sr. was absent for the fourth straight time.
