Sunrisers Hyderabad upset Kolkata Knight Riders

At the Eden Gardens on Friday, Harry Brook scored an unbroken 100 runs off 55 balls as Sunrisers Hyderabad upset Kolkata Knight Riders. 12 fours and 3 sixes were part of Brook's first IPL hundred.

SunRisers Hyderabad supporters and coaching staff had some jitters despite scoring 228, the highest total in IPL 2023, as Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh counterattacked and controlled the game till the last over. Nitish Rana scored 75 runs off of only 41 balls, and Rinku Singh, who had earlier struck five sixes in the penultimate over to give KKR a thrilling victory against the reigning champion Gujarat Titans, remained undefeated on 58 (31). Rinku's efforts in the late innings were unsuccessful, though, as KKR left 32 too many runs to chase in the last over. For SunRisers, T Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar made commendable attempts in the last overs to prevent Rinku and Rana from hitting another jaw-dropping climax.
