Barcelona and PSG strike verbal agreement for Ferran Torres

Barcelona and Paris Saint‑Germain have reached a preliminary agreement for Ferran Torres, with the transfer set at around €55 million. According to Sport, intensive negotiations over recent days unlocked the deal, structured as €50 million guaranteed plus €5 million in bonuses. The fee provides Barcelona with crucial financial flexibility to pursue further reinforcements, including Rodri Hernández.

PSG’s initial offer of €40 million plus €10 million in add‑ons was rejected, but a small increase in the fixed amount sealed the agreement. Luis Enrique, who specifically requested Torres, is close to securing a key addition at a moment when PSG have already lost Gonçalo Ramos and could soon see Bradley Barcola depart for Liverpool.

Reports indicate Torres will sign a five‑year contract worth €20 million per season. The forward maintains a strong bond with Enrique, who gave him his Spain debut, though the coach avoided commenting on the transfer during Tuesday’s Super Cup press conference.
