Empoli keep their unbeaten Serie A run alive against Udinese

Empoli extend their unbeaten run in Serie A to three matches as they came from behind in the latter half to defeat visitors Udinese 3-1. Former Everton and Watford forward Gerard Deulofeu had handed visitors a lead early with his opening goal. Later Empoli’s Slovenia defender Petar Stojanovic pulled the team level on goal by netting his first goal for the club.

The next two goals came from Nedim Bajrami and Andrea Pinamonti as the hosts secured a good enough lead to snatch a win. Pinamonti scored his sixth league goal for the club ever since he joined on loan from Inter Milan in August. The win places Empoli 11th on the table and  Udinese remains at 14th.
