Felipe Anderson will not sign a new Lazio contract

The Brazilian's current contract is set to expire on June 30. Despite months of unsuccessful discussions, the talks have continued. Although it was already stated that Igor Tudor, the new coach, was pressuring the team to come to a decision, the forward officially announced his departure on Instagram Stories this evening.

"I therefore confirm that I have not achieved an agreement to extend my contract with Lazio and will, therefore, pursue a new route next season out of respect for Lazio and its supporters who have always supported me. Felipe Anderson joined Lazio in 2013 and left the team in 2018. This is Anderson's second stint at the club. After his summer 2021 return from West Ham United, he has made 319 appearances for Lazio, netting 58 goals and dishing out 63 assists. Although it turned out to be premature, there have been several rumors claiming that Juventus is prepared to accept Felipe Anderson as a free agent.
