Doc Rivers Focuses on Off-Court Growth

Despite the fact that basketball is at the centre of every NBA player's life, it is important to recognise the other things in life as well. The Sixers chose to train in Charleston instead of the traditional practise location because of this reason. This exposure was important to Rivers, who believed it was important for his players to see the city's history. The Sixers' time in Charleston is already coming to a close, so their stay in the city is already over. The final day of camp in Charleston will be on October 2nd before the team leaves for Camden, New Jersey. On October 3rd, the Sixers will take on the Brooklyn Nets in their first preseason game of the season.

“It’s good for team building and that’s why I think it’s good to get out of town for training camp. There’s a lot of history here in Charleston, American history, that we can teach.” Rivers stated.
