Miles Bridges, a free agency forward, has agreed to re-sign with the Hornets. The Bridges' new contract, which will be worth $75 million over three years, will not include a player or team option.
Bridges averaged 21.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 69 games for the Hornets last season after signing a one-year, $7.9 million qualifying offer as a restricted free agent last summer. Bridges also frequently said that he wanted to stay in Charlotte. The Hornets front office, under the direction of Jeff Peterson, the new head of basketball operations, showed a similar interest. Almost a week into free agency, the two parties have delivered on their public remarks by reaching an agreement on terms. Bridges is the kind of forward that every club wants in their squad because of his stature, flexibility, and ability to score goals.
