Josh Jackson has been signed by the Toronto Raptors

During the previous season, Jackson played for both the Sacramento Kings and the Detroit Pistons. His per-game averages were 6.4 points, 1.1 assists, and 2.8 rebounds. According to Blake Murphy, there is no money guaranteed, and this is just a standard camp deal. The Raptors appear to think that Jackson can eventually hone some of these abilities, like his three-point shooting, and become a regular member of their rotation.

Since he's still only 24 years old, they stand to gain significantly from betting on his potential for the upcoming season. They can cut their losses and carry out their plan if it turns out that he doesn't get better under their guidance. In any case, the Raptors are taking a low-risk, high-return action that could pay off for both of them.
