Knicks bolster Brunson’s support, sign ex-Thunder Dillon Jones

Jones, 24, recently played for the Rip City Remix, Portland’s G-League affiliate. In 24 games, he averaged an impressive 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.6 assists, and 1.8 steals over 37.5 minutes. During the 2024-25 season, Jones posted 2.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in 54 games for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Despite a short tenure, Jones has experienced significant volatility. His rookie campaign was ideal. The Weber State product learned from elite talent and won a thrilling championship as the Thunder defeated the Pacers in seven games. However, momentum stalled for the South Carolina native. Since that title run, Jones faced challenges, enduring two trades, one NBA and one G-League, and failing to log NBA minutes as a sophomore contributor. Now, New York hopes his versatility revitalizes his trajectory alongside Brunson.
