San Antonio Spurs failed to win for the second night back to back but this time they were the newest victim of the New York Knicks. Spurs big man Jakob Poeltl did well around the rim but that wasn't enough to hold down Knicks who were inspired with the chance to move back to 0.500 with a 121-109 triumph. Spurs defense worked hard denying Julius Randle early in the match, while Doug McDermott got going on the other side to level San Antonio 28-28 in the first quarter.
Knicks took advantage of their size to make every rebound and keep scoring in the second to lead by 62-56 by the first half. Spurs deficit widened further in the next quarter as RJ Barrett, Randle and Fournier kept scoring and in the last quarter, New York comfortably kept their lead and won by 121-109.
