Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards is still being linked to the Kings

Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards is still being linked to the Kings, according to veteran NBA reporter Marc Stein on Substack on Monday. According to Stein, this is still the case despite Sacramento striking a large deal over the weekend for six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan. Kuzma, 28, is still a possible trade target for the Wizards, who are rebuilding.

Kuzma, a gifted scorer who won a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, had a career year with 22.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in the previous campaign. Even though Kuzma still has three years left on his contract, he is guaranteed a reasonable $65 million in total. Additionally, his contract is slightly frontloaded, which gives a potential buyer some safety. For years, Kuzma has been connected to the Kings in trade rumors, and the team once came dangerously close to signing him.
