According to reports, a former member of the Milwaukee Bucks has found a new home in the basketball world. O.J. Mayo has agreed to a one-year contract with UNICS Kazan, a Russian club. The guard had spent the previous three seasons in Puerto Rico, Taiwan, and China, with Russia being the most recent stop on his itinerary.
Mayo established himself as a spark off the bench during his three years in Milwaukee, from 2013 to 2016. In 25.2 minutes per game, he averaged 10.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists on.406/.353/.831 shooting splits. Mayo played in 162 regular-season games for the team, starting 62 of them. With a young Giannis Antetokounmpo and a rapidly improving Khris Middleton at the helm, he was a critical element for those youthful Milwaukee teams attempting to crawl out of the shadows and return to relevancy.
