Phoenix Suns draftees Ryan Dunn and Oso Ighodaro showcased their intriguing versatility in a 90-73 loss to the Golden State Warriors during the Summer League in Las Vegas. Despite struggling offensively and combining for just 12 points, both players made an impact on defense.
Dunn, standing 6-foot-8, excelled at guarding smaller guards, demonstrating impressive footwork and discipline. He recorded three steals and two blocks, tied for the most on the team. While his shooting was lacking—missing all three attempts from beyond the arc—Dunn took a higher volume of shots than in college, where he averaged less than one per game. “Just taking the shots I need to take off the 3, make or miss, continue to shoot it,” he said postgame. Ighodaro also contributed defensively with two blocks and showcased his versatility by bringing the ball up at times, although he didn’t register an assist.
