Should the Minnesota Timberwolves trade for Ben Simmons?

The trade rumors surrounding Ben Simmons take pace as the Minnesota Timberwolves are not in a mood to give up their trials for the point guard. With many potential deals in line for Simmons, the one centered around D’Angelo Russell or a combination of Taurean Prince, Malik Beasley, and a slew of draft picks seem feasible.

The three-time All-Star, two-time NBA All-Defensive First Team who led the league in steals in 2019-20, is now speculated as a bad pick for Minnesota over Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and Co. With 16.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game, Simmons is likely to follow his Philadelphia problems with the Wolves following criticism from Doc Rivers, Joel Embiid, Shaquille O’Neal, and Charles Barkley and comparison with Giannis Antetokounmpo. At 6-foot-9 with the point guard's perfect skill-set and the ability to get to the rim at will, Simmons has the record of shooting 55.7 percent from the field(mostly from inside 10 feet) last season.
