FaZe secured a top-four finish at ESL Pro League Season 17

The team led by Finn "karrigan" Andersen played admirably on both maps, and their clutches were sufficient to carry them over the finish line. They are the third group to reach the semifinals and will play the victor of Saturday's match between Heroic and Natus Vincere. FORZE, who went undefeated in Group D, were one of the surprises of the first round despite being eliminated in their first playoff game. They beat Natus Vincere, Spirit, and ENCE during their winning streak—three groups that advanced to the knockout round and are presently rated higher than Andrey "Jerry" Mekhryakov's side.

While both teams proceeded to force purchase in the early rounds, the series began on FaZe's choice of Inferno with a few hectic rounds early on. This led to a back-and-forth between the two sides.
